Ruth Sharon Ruhnke was born Ruth Sharon Walthers von Alten, 1978 in Glenview, IL. Dedicating her life to the Arts and the service of others just comes naturally.

Ruth loves the Arts and has been painting and drawing since she was five, and also has a flair for drama and likes to play at Improv and entertaining. The Arts will always be an important part of her life. You will see her work displayed in various locations throughout the Chicagoland area and one day throughout the world. The vision for Wonder Lake Art is to see Artists of all media come together in creative harmony and join up with what is current in the community locally and globally.

Wonder Lake Art is a site to help promote Wonder Lake artist Ruth Ruhnke & friends and to help them to share their vision and voice with the world. Please see the links section for some really great stuff by other creatives. Ruth loves to do commission and consignment pieces and specializes in custom tailoring to an individual's needs.
